I’m Jacqui Hill and on retirement, I took up painting. It is watercolour that sparks my imagination. I love to explore with layers of colour, try to be loose, take risks in the hope of having “happy accidents” which gives watercolour its unique appearance. My subject matter is wide, buildings, landscapes, seascapes, flowers and people. Sketching from home or on holiday is often my starting point. I exhibit my work with Morpeth Art group and Coquetdale Art Centre in Rothbury.
